Clinical neurophysiology

The research of clinical neurophysiology is performed at the interface of neuroscience and neurophysiology. Strongly driven by clinical needs, the group focuses on disorders in the central nervous system, aiming to develop improved diagnostics and to guide novel treatments for clinical neurology.
Research themes: Epilepsy; Ischaemia (stroke); Neuromonitoring. Another theme is Neuromodulation. It focuses on applications for chronic pain, using spinal cord stimulation for the treatment of, for example, diabetic polyneuropathy, tinnitus and epilepsy.
