Biomass based fuel technology for transport purposed and for power generation opens opportunities to develop a range of new engineered fuels (100% bio-based or blends). On the other hand, current research activities for the next generation of new engines and gas turbines for the coming 30 years are directed towards new ultra-clean and ultra-efficient engines. These two developments will be tuned to achieve a seamless acceptation of bio-fuels in next generation prime movers.
