Main focus of the research is on the human product interaction during professional product use. The emphasis is on error-free task fulfillment in complex multi-user situations. Design requirements and methods for the design of products so that these products do not cause complaints during use. The requirements should anticipate the implementation of these products on a large scale and daily use. One goal of this research is to obtain insight in physical problems for the user such as pressure sores, RSI, low back pain, discomfort and lipoatrophia semicircularis. Understanding the underlying medical aspects of these complaints and the anatomical deviations of the different users form the basis for biomechanical modeling.
