Electronic instrumentation lab

After mechanisation and informatisation, sensorisation has become the largest obstacle to total automation. Therefore, breakthroughs are required in technology, price, size, weight, power consumption and user-friendliness. To accomplish this goal, the lab has chosen to interweave two functions. Firstly to realise sensors in IC-compatible silicon technology suited for mass-production. Secondly, to combine these silicon sensors with smart interface electronics, preferable in one package. This allows easy communication with the sensors.
The research mission is to realise smart sensor systems for the acquisition of data from physical, chemical and biomedical signals.
