Electrowetting-driven thin film

Electrowetting on dielectric is increasingly becoming the driving mechanism of choice for droplet-based digital microfluidic devices.
While the electrowetting effect is essentially a classic example of interaction between fluids and electric fields, its efficiency, reproducibility and ease of use make it preferable over other methods of manipulating small drops, such as Marangoni effects or thermo-capillary stresses.
