Energy technology

Energy technology in general addresses engineering problems associated with energy conversion processes such as transport, utilization, implementation etc. Focus on topics: micro-scale heat transfer, heat transfer and transitional flows (both fundamentally oriented research), heat transfer engineering (fundamental/application-oriented research) and the design of small-scale energy systems (application-oriented research).
Highlights: Modeling enhanced heat transfer and surface reactions at the micro-scale. Understanding the gas-wall or fluid-wall interactions thoroughly is indispensable for temperature control in micro-systems, and has to be studied at a molecular scale. Multiscale hybrid method that combines the advantages of molecular dynamics and the stochastic direct simulation Monte Carlo method.
