The main activities of the group is research in the technology of fibrous materials like textiles. This involves developing new systems and technologies to modify fibre surfaces in traditional as well as in new innovative treatment processes.
The current program has two focus points: The application of (bio) catalysts and the principles of process intensification to develop innovative and sustainable treatment processes; Adding new functionalities to fibres by means of sophisticated chemistry and physics.
