Gas turbines and gas combustion

Gas turbines play an important role in energy conversion processes.
The gas turbine is the dominating prime mover for aircraft propulsion, while most modern thermal power systems rely on the integration of gas turbines and steam turbine cycles.
Research projects: Aero-gasturbine emission reduction and simulation technology; Development of advanced models for the design of micro gas turbines; Development of generic design expertise for gasturbine engines;
Influence of tar composition, concentration and design changes on the emission of gas turbine combustion; Low NOx emission in a newly designed co-combustion chamber for LCV gas; New combustion systems for gas turbines.
