Mobility of persons is essential for a country’s economy and society. People travel to and from work on an average work day, most of them by car, others by public transport, bicycle or on foot. The volume of passenger mobility is on the increase. Unfortunately, transport does not always run smoothly: traffic jams, train delays, unco-ordinated time tables, clumsy routes or clogged escalators for pedestrians.
The research centre researches the mobility of persons from a variety of angles, such as traffic management, technology of logistics, rail technology and mathematics.
