Nano-optics

The aim is to investigate and control the propagation of light at length scales at or below its wavelength and on femtosecond time-scales. Control is achieved with individual metallic nanostructures and with plasmomic or photonic crystals, trough the use of plasmonic or photonic bandgaps. Slow light propagation and local field-metter interactions. Light emission by single molecules. Light propagation in nanophotonic structures.
