The research group is committed to a constant development of new and innovative designs and methods in remote sensing and GIS for solving applied problems, with focus on: Innovative use of remote sensing (e.g. radar, hyperspectral and high spatial resolution imagery); Innovative algorithms for mapping and monitoring land cover; Modelling the physical environment and human interactions; Decision support; Tools for land use planning and participative.
