The research in the research group focuses on a firm’s choice of strategy and its organization structure and processes, and how these choices influence firm performance and a firm’s long-term survival. It is hoped that this research not only contributes to management theory, but that it will also help to improve the quality of decision making by (top) managers.
The objects are: foreign entry, cultural barriers and learning; learning from product and geographical diversity, acquisitions, and organizational growth and long-term survival; organization culture, management style and organizational performance; trust, culture and management; technological evolution and strategic conduct; the extent, timing and determinants of exits of foreign affiliates.
