Rheology of resins

In the automotive industry a growing need for waterborne coatings rises due to environmental regulations. A modern coating system contains various components. Resins are used to control the flow properties of the system. The rheology of resins is therefore an important successfactor of new waterborne automotive coatings. By means of computer simulations the rheology of resin particles is studied. In a dilute system the resin is modeled as a core-shell particle.
