Stochastic systems

Stochastic systems theory deals with (controlled) dynamical systems where the input is random and the output is corrupted by noise. These additional complications in the traditional system theory need the study of filtering theory, system identification and stochastic control. The issues involved often are closely related to problems in statistical signal processing.
