Transport costing, logistics costs, and decision-making in transport. Transport chain game and a chain cost model, illustrations will be given of combinations of modes that can be made, as well as how policies and strategies impact on those. The different sub-components of chains and various cost items will be illustrated and calculated, and tradeoffs as well as cost shares will be indicated. Attention will be paid both to out-of-pocket costs and time costs, together named generalized costs, and next to that also external costs.
