Biomedical imaging & modeling

Methods and techniques from mathematics, computer science, physics, electrical engineering and medicine are used in the imaging and modeling of biomedical systems. In both our research and clinical diagnostics these methods are applied to measure, understand, predict and depict the structure, function and metabolism of living cells and tissues.

Biomedical Image Analysis
Image analysis and visualization techniques are developed and applied to extract quantitative information from images. New robust algorithms for segmentation, computer aided diagnosis and pattern recognition are studied and applied to practical clinical problems usually from cardio-vascular systems and the brain.
