Dynamic modeling and simulating energy engineering

Dynamic modeling and simulation is becoming increasingly important in the energy engineering sector. It is used not only as a design tool for control purposes but also as an online diagnostic mean especially during unsteady operation (e.g. start up, shutdown and load change).
Research projects: CO2 Catch-up; Slagging and fouling prediction by dynamic boiler modeling; Externally fired gasturbine for combined heat and power generation; Development of advanced monitoring methods to improve boiler availability and performance.
