Research focus on information systems to study techniques for requirements identification and the design of architectures of business software in relation to its business context. This includes governmental organizations, healthcare organizations, and loosely organized user groups with shared interest. Examples of business software are enterprise systems and ERP systems, but also mobile information systems and ambient intelligence systems. Where enterprise systems are in people’s minds when they use them. Systems are “invisible” for their users, i.e., users are not aware that they interact with the systems. However, all these systems have in common that their requirements arise from a business context and their architecture cannot be designed independently from the architecture of the business.
Most of research is done in the domains of financial companies, government organizations, and health care organizations.
