Methodologies for interaction design have grown and matured in the field of office information systems and to a lesser extent consumer electronics. Conventional methods for interaction design need to be adapted when designing for and with children or new methods have to be developed. In both cases, special care needs to be taken for the changing capabilities and interests of children, how technology takes into account or even supports their development, and how practical, ethical and methodological issues can be addressed.
