Structured electronic design

Research focuses on the development of a systematic design methodology for analog circuits like amplifiers, oscillators, band-gap references and analog systems like reconfigurable radio front-ends. The research is concentrated in the frequency domain where devices still have enough gain to implement negative feedback systems. So usually the maximum operating frequency is between 10-20% of the fT of the technology used. The design theory is in principle technology independent, but circuits are demonstrated in low-cost technologies, such as silicon CMOS, BiCMOS and bipolar. The applications presently researched are in electronics for spacecraft (e.g., transceivers for pico-satellites, wireless onboard communication, advanced measurement systems, GPS/Galileo receivers) and electronics for small rockets.
